Examples of fracture networks that would have similar seismic attributes over the volume delineated by the square, but very different network permeability values. The pattern in Figure 2a is unconnected; fracture permeability would be zero. On the other hand, the network shown in Figure 2b is well-connected, leading to a permeable fracture network.
