Figure 2 shows the Transformation ratio for the oil prone Pliensbachian marine Type II source rock at present day. The colours show degree of transformation as a fraction (blue is 0% and red is 100% transformation). Generally the values need to be above ~15% for the source rock to expel hydrocarbon. The Pliensbachian source rock is expelling oil in the southern half of the margin present day and is mostly over mature for the rest of the margin.
