For many investors, 3-D geologic models such as these make understanding the subsurface easier.

Another question: Would you put money into this deal without seeing the models?

More and more geologists say that 3-D geologic models are helping them as they put together deals and raise money, because the illustrations make it easier for people -- both geologists and laymen -- to understand the subsurface.
