AAPG Conferences
APPEX 2010:
The AAPG Prospect and Property Expo (APPEX) has run for eight years, APPEX 2010 being the most successful yet after having received over 500 delegates to the Islington Business Design Centre in London, now a regular venue for this event that was held on 2nd - 4th March 2010. With programs covering Asia and the Far East, the Caribbean and South America, Europe and Africa, as well as the future of stratigraphic plays and global frontier plays, including four Prospect Forums, and an International Pavilion Forum.
Principles, senior managers, business developers and new venture managers, were given the unmatched opportunity to network and do business with country and NOC representatives, suppliers and government representatives from around the world.
An additional one day short course ‘Petroleum Geology for Financial Professionals’ took place at APPEX taken by Ted Beaumont on 5th March 2010. This course gave professionals without a geology background to evaluate oil and gas plays more effectively. Ted Beaumont will also be holding his course entitled ‘Principles of Petroleum Geology for the Non-Geologist’ at the AAPGEurope Aberdeen Education Week being held on 28th June – 2nd July 2010. Please check the AAPG-Europe website for further details as well as the APPEX website.
