Memorandum of Understanding of Association and Regions
One of the major challenges inside the AAPG is the relationship between the Association and her Regions. The leadership has discovered that the progress of the transformation of corporate structure depends on how far this relationship is regulated and clarified. As a first step in this direction, a draft material had been released in March and subsequently discussed on the telephone conference of the Regions’ presidents in May 2009. During the Annual Convention in Denver the presidents of the Regions repeatedly went through the draft material with the representatives of the headquarters and agreed upon that headquarters would released a new version of the MoU highlighting on the:
- AAPG events policy;
- The financial and internal controls;
- The intellectual properties;
- Regional communications and guidelines of foreign policy.
The new version will be released before the Leadership Conference due at the end of August 2009.
