- Position Summary:
- Responsible for management of the operations and activities of AAPG in the European Region, including the AAPG-Europe Charity and AAPG-Europe Trading Limited to promote the growth of AAPG.
The successful candidate need to be able to: Develop and maintain a business plan for AAPG in Europe in coordination with European Region activities. Develop and maintain an annual operating budget for the European Office as part of the AAPG master budget, and provide fiscal oversight of all European Office programs. Facilitate appropriate and adequate communication and interaction concerning operations between the staff of the European Office and AAPG Headquarters.Develop relationships with a wide range of industry and technical leaders in Europe to support efforts within the Region to provide professional development opportunities for members, identify collaborative educational efforts with other scientific organizations and assess corporate training needs, encourage sponsorship of programs and activities and maximize donor participation Manage all operations and human resources directives. Manage all phases of meeting and exhibition planning and implementation for AAPG programs in the European Region, Direct the development of event budgets, continually monitoring budgets and controlling spending in order to deliver expected financial results. Regularly confer with the President of the European Region about ongoing and future projects and other issues of the region.
