European Region House of Delegates
The House of Delegates (HOD) is an important group within the AAPG. In short, they are charged with voting on changes in the AAPG Constitution and By-laws and reviewing individuals for membership to our organization.
Each section - U.S., and region - international, vote in delegates (representatives) to the HOD. The number of delegates is based on the number of members that make up the section or region. In general, for every 70 members, the section or region is allowed 1 delegate to represent them at the national convention which is held yearly in the U.S. If you would like to learn more details about our system, I recommend you read the Constitution and By-laws which can be found on the AAPG website.
Currently the European Region HOD has 15 delegates. However we are allowed 18 delegates. We have made a concerted effort this year to present a ballot which will allow us to have the allotted 18. Shortly, you will be receiving this ballot. There are 12 delegate positions open for the 2006 - 2009 term. Please take the time to review the names, choose only 12 and send in your votes.
