May 5-6, 2008

Practical Salt Tectonics
London, England
Short Course
An applied course that will introduce practical tools for seismic interpretation and emphasize the impact of salt on fault and trap geometries, sedimentation, and hydrocarbon maturation and migration. The course will consist of a combination of lectures and workshop exercises.

May 18-23, 2008

Controls On Porosity Types and Distribution in Carbonate Reservoirs
Spain
Field Seminar
This field seminar will develop the regional paleogeography of an area in SE Spain greatly affected by shear-zone and extensional tectonics.

May 24-30, 2008

Complex Carbonates Reservoirs: The Role of Fracturing, Facies and Tectonics
Italy
Field Seminar
This field seminar aims at showing how, by correctly assessing faults and fractures characteristics, facies types and the tectonic context, it is possible to evaluate reservoir potential and to properly gather information for the static and dynamic reservoir models.

May 26-28, 2008

Deep-Water Sands, Integrated Stratigraphic Analysis -- A Workshop Using Multiple Data Sets
London, England
Short Course
A series of hands-on exercises and lectures focused on deep-water deposits of sand-prone facies, most often called turbidite systems.

June 16-20, 2008

Folding, Thrusting and Syntectonic Sedimentation: Perspectives from Classic Localities of the Central Pyrenees
Barcelona, Spain
Field Seminar
We will examine superb outcrops of thrusts, fault-related folds, stratal architectures and facies of depositional systems affected by growing structures, which are good analogues for tectonosedimentary-related hydrocarbon plays. The field seminar will cover a transect of the southern Pyrenees, a Cenozoic belt where thrust-fold geometries are well exposed and suitable for conceptual discussion.
