How do I become a
Strategic
Training Partner?

There are other subscriptions or services for Training Partner companies which your Company may want to explore in addition to training courses.

AAPG/Datapages -- Offering more than 325,000 published pages of articles and maps, this database is the single largest exploration database offered in the world today. We have a long-term growth plan to grow by acquisition of key publication titles from publishers specific to petroleum geology, geophysics, and sciences relative to the upstream petroleum industry.

Current offerings include all publications of:

  • AAPG (Bulletin and Special Publications),
  • Journal of Sedimentary Research (SEPM),
  • Journal of Petroleum Geology (Scientific Press),
  • GCAGS Transactions (Gulf Coast Association of Geological Societies),
    • New Orleans Geological Society,
    • East Texas Geological Society, and the
    • Lafayette Geological Society.

We also have agreements to begin processing all publications of the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists, and we are in negotiations with numerous other petroleum publishers.

Hedberg Research Conferences -- AAPG facilitates three to five small conferences each year on focused topics. These do not feature a technology trade show, but rather call together interested scientists or explorationists for formal presentations or poster sessions with a high amount of interchange and discussion. Commonly registration is restricted and limited by the venue. Training Partners may opt to reserve seats at designated Hedberg Conferences.

Interactive Online Learning (IOL) -- AAPG offers to the public, modular online short courses on focused topics. Training Partners may opt for a full program of IOL short courses that allow total access for the term of the agreement for all technical staff. IOL commonly is used as a prerequisite study for some more-advanced AAPG short courses.

Group Registration at AAPG Conventions -- Training Partners can opt for a special suite of services while attending the AAPG Annual Meeting or International Meetings. This includes automatic registration for a designated block of your Company personnel, and even block registration of hotel accommodations (at extra cost) in the host city so all your personnel can be together.

Special Services -- AAPG also can make special accommodations for Training Partners where we handle specific non-training needs (all fee-based or project-based):

  1. career counseling for your professional staff
  2. travel and lodging arrangements (travel management)
  3. non-technical professional development training (technical writing, time management, creativity training, software training)
