CONFERENCE GOALS:
To encourage a free exchange of cross-disciplinary discussion among
leading scientific and engineering experts leading to improved exploration
models and development and completion strategies required to exploit
the vast North American tight gas sand potential. Particular emphasis
will be placed on:
- Evaluating
current models of tight gas, their strengths and limitations
- Understanding
tight gas sand petroleum systems including the origin and evolution
of abnormal pressure
- Reservoir
properties and evaluation
- Exploration
and development techniques, best practices and case histories
- Resource
appraisal methodologies, uncertainties and policy implications
