- Professor of Marine Geology and Geophysics, University of Miami, Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science.
- 1984-2000
- Assistant/Associate Professor, University of Miami, Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science.
Professional Interests:
Research focuses on ocean and climate history, mostly in the tropics and on time-scales ranging from decadal to orbital. I am especially interested in anoxic marine settings and the development of high-resolution paleoclimate time-series from laminated sediment sequences. Current work is centered on the patterns and origins of abrupt climate change and the oceanographic controls on sea floor anoxia and organic carbon burial.
