On behalf of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and host societies the AAPG Latin American Region and the Colombian Association of Petroleum Geologists and Geophysicists I cordially extend an invitation to you to attend the AAPG 2013 International Conference and Exhibition (ICE) — Energy for Integration and Prosperity, to be held in historical and beautiful Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, 8-11 September.
The Latin America Region is in the midst of an oil boom benefiting the local and regional economies. In recent years, the oil industry has significantly increased exploration and production activities in heavy oil in the Andean foreland, deep water in Brazil, Mexico, French Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, and unconventional resources in several Latin American countries. This is seen especially in Argentina with the Vaca Muerta Formation and in Mexico and Colombia. All this makes this conference a perfect setting to exchange ideas, learn what others are doing, deliberate and launch constructive dialogues on energy integration and prosperity for the region.
We’ve put together a very attractive technical program including several special sessions to learn more about what is happening in the oil industry in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Perú, and Trinidad and Tobago.
