Eleazar J. Benedetto-Padron joined Ryder Scott in 2010 and is currently a Vice-President in Geoscience department. He led the development of Petrel workflows that Ryder Scott uses for volumetric calculations.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from the “Universidad de Oriente” of Venezuela. He is an active member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
Eleazar started his career as Development Geologist in “Petrolera Ameriven”, a partnership in the Orinoco Heavy Oil Belt, where he proposed, planned and supervised the drilling operation of more than 40 vertical and horizontal wells in order to meet the target daily oil production rate of 190,000 BOPD.
Later he moved to the consulting business with Roxar Inc, having the opportunity to work in several different positions from senior geoscientist to project manager consultant for national and major companies such as PDVSA, PEMEX, BP and STATOIL.
Based on his educational background, professional training and over 12 years of practical experience in the oil business Mr. Benedetto-Padron serves as Chairman of the AAPG/DPA Reserves and Resources Committee, observer in the SEG O&G Reserves Committee and is the AAPG representative to JCORET committee from 2013 to the present.
