Christina Calvin is currently working for Schlumberger’s Unconventional Resources Group developing workflows that integrate core and well log data. She also participates in unconventional assessment projects. Prior assignments within Schlumberger include petrologic characterization within the core facilities. She is particularly passionate about fluid-rock interactions and the phase equilibria of inorganic phases during diagenesis and how this knowledge can be applied to understanding changes in porosity and permeability. Prior to coming to Schlumberger, Christina worked as a senior petroleum geologist for ExxonMobil and as geologist with the Smithsonian Institution. Christina obtained a PhD in experimental petrology from Brown University. She also obtained an MS from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology where she studied Archean sedimentary basins in South Africa.
