Adrian Thomas was born in the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago. He is a published (AAPG), highly capable and motivated petroleum geoscientist with approximately 8 years' experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. He has worked with three energy companies with roles varying from an exploration/ development geologist to petroleum systems analyst.
Adrian attained a BSc. (Hons.) in Petroleum Geoscience (2007) from the University of the West Indies and has an MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering from the University Of Newcastle, UK (2012) . He has a critical understanding of the Eastern Venezuelan and Suriname Basins with a basic understanding of the North Sea. Adrian has worked in over 20 fields/ blocks within Trinidad and Tobago. He also has interest in renewable energies and is keen on furthering his knowledge/ work experience within this field in particular solar, wind and bioenergy technologies. He is a former Chevening scholarship winner (2011) and his work experience has seen him become highly proficient in many fields including:
- Advanced seismic interpretations; 2D and 3D
- Prospect generation and evaluation
- Petroleum System’s modelling
- Solar, Wind and Biofuel energies
