Cameron Campbell is currently working in Bakersfield with Chevron as a Development Geologist within the famous Midway-Sunset Field, located within the San Joaquin Basin. After graduating with a BS ('06) and MS ('08) in Geology from San Diego State University, he started as a geologist with ExxonMobil in 2008. While working various projects from acreage relinquishment offshore Angola, planning and executing wells in East and South Texas, to identifying and capturing acreage as part of the Vaca Muerta Shale in Argentina his desire to learn and understand all aspects of being a petroleum geologist continued to grow. In 2012 an exciting opportunity to become a development geologist within a brownfield, resulted in moving to Bakersfield, where he is now working on new opportunities. In addition to a career in the Petroleum Industry Cameron also currently serves as a Lieutenant in the Navy Reserves. His work with AAPG thus far has included both Secretary and President of SDSU Student Chapter, various positions within the IBA committee (National/PSAAPG), as well as currently serving as PSAAPG Treasure ('14-16).
