Dr. Claudia Rassi studied Geology at the University of Vienna in Austria where she also joined AAPG as a student. She worked for two years at OMV, an Austrian oil company before she attended the University of Texas at Austin to pursue a PhD in Petroleum Geology. During this time she had the opportunity to work as a Research Assistant at the Bureau of Economic Geology (now part of the Jackson School of Geosciences). After graduation in 2002 Claudia was hired by Chevron in San Ramon California. Her first assignments in the US (California and Texas) dealt with Angola, Nigeria and Brazil. In 2008 Claudia moved with Chevron to Rio de Janeiro, where she currently works as a geologist and G&G coordinator of the non-operated projects of Chevron.
