Hugo Gustavo Pelliza is a geologist, graduated from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina, with 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, primarily in the area of exploration.

He spent his first 20 years working for Shell in exploration projects in Argentina, the Netherlands, Nigeria and Angola, and then spent two years with Pecom Energia working in new ventures in the sub-Andean Countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Peru Ecuador, Colombia & Venezuela).

He also has experience working with Petrobras covering Peru and Argentina and Gran Tierra Energy, mainly in Peru, leading the exploration and new ventures activity. Currently he is leading the exploration QA/QC team for Ecopetrol in Colombia.

During his career, Hugo has been involved in projects both offshore and onshore, as well as oil and gas exploration, and have participated directly in oil and gas discoveries in Argentina, The Netherlands, Nigeria, Ecuador and Peru. For the past 15 years, he has held leadership and management positions.
