Alex Moyes is currently the lead geologist for Wexpro’s new ventures team. His current efforts are in finding and acquiring producing gas properties in various basins across the Rockies. He is interested in clastic sedimentology, specifically in the development of oil and gas fields in fluvial and near shore reservoirs. Alex started his oil and gas career as an intern with Petroleum Systems International in 2007, followed by internships with Schlumberger, Exxon Mobil, and Questar. He has been with Wexpro (Questar) full time since 2011. He has a BS in geoscience and a MS in geology, both from the University of Utah where his research was in sedimentary hosted uranium deposits. He is currently working on his MBA, also from the University of Utah.
