Sameh Hussein is currently a senior staff petrophysicist for Apache Egypt Companies in Cairo; He graduated from the University of Cairo with a Bachelor of Science Degree in geology. He started his career in 1997 with a major oilfield service company as a mud logger, worked in the Gulf of Suez, Western desert and Nile Delta Basins. In 1999 he joined General Petroleum Company as an exploration and development petrophysicist. He joined Apache Egypt Companies in 2005 as a senior petrophysicist working in the Western Desert and Gulf of Suez concessions. In 2014 Sameh presented a paper “Interpretation of Spectroscopy Logs in the Cretaceous Sand of the Western Desert, Egypt” in SPWLA 55th Annual Symposium in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
