Heba Askar is presently a Geologist in the Cairo, Egypt office of Apache Corporation, Heba is part of the Apache Egypt Exploration Department’s Prospect Team. She graduated from Ain Shams University Geology/Chemistry Department in Cairo in 2011. She also was selected for the AL AMAL program, a program organized by EGS in coordination with EPEX and SEG (Al Amal-4), from October 2011 through December 2011. Following that she trained at Apache for 8 months, learning Seismic interpretation and Petrophysics (Well log evaluation using IP software). Heba was then employed by Apache Egypt. Heba has worked at Apache Egypt for 2 years now.

Currently, Heba works on comprehensive play and prospect evaluation. Heba is a member of the AAPG (American Association of Petroleum Geologists), and she is an AAPG Egypt Student Chapter Coordinator for Short Courses Programs. She is also an active member of the AAPG member of the EPEX (Egyptian Petroleum Exploration Society) and the Egyptian Geophysical Society (SEG).
