Phlemon George graduated with a degree in Applied Geology from University Malaya in 1996. He started with Shell as junior geologist undertaking various task such as operation geologist, managing prospects and leads resources, 2D-3D seismic interpretation on exploration blocks and near field exploration. He left Shell for Total after 15 years while working on the Middle East North Africa projects in Europe.

He worked for Total E&P Malaysia as New Venture Geologist for 4 years and move on as Principal Geologist in Pexco Sarawak for about 1 year. Currently he is volunteering as temporary lecturer to teach Basin Analysis (SGGS6118) for Master Program for the 1st semester for 2016-2017 session.

Volunteered as guest lecturer to present technical talks to AAPG Young Professional KL Chapter. He has over 20 years working as Exploration/Regional Geologist and New Venture Geologist. Well experienced in prospects & leads maturation on deep water, carbonates and shelfs settings, 2D &3D seismic Interpretation, ArcGIS, generating chrono-stratigraphy, paleogeography mapping and regional cross section, play-based evaluation, hydrocarbon volume resource assessment (geological risk & uncertainties) and well site geological practices.

He is passionate about the carbonates, regional geology around the South China Sea and tectonic evolution of formation Borneo Island. An active member of AAPG (10048473) , SEAPEX GSM and KLEX.
