• 27706 Regional Tectonics, Structure and the Petroleum Exploration History of the Union of Myanmar The talk gives a broad interview to this structurally complex country, which possesses a transform fault comparable to the San Andres. The section on petroleum history also contains structural geology, petroleum geochemistry and sedimentology. There are also some interesting sidelights to history and politics of the Myanmar people. This talk was presented last year in Melbourne, AUS and published in an online journal of the AAPG. The geopolitics are quite interesting, and I know a lot about it, since I was working there during Aung San Suu Chi's Democracy Movement in 1988-1989.
