The main objective of this talk is to give the students an overview of most aspects of the petroleum industry from the first hand technical professional who has been in the industry for more than 20 years. Topics covered include definition, Life cycle of oil and gas business, Data Acquisition and Data Interpretation
Basic understanding of petroleum such as definition, history, product and why it is so important is discussed in the first part. The second part guides the student through different stages of petroleum exploration and development. The last two chapters explain how the data is acquired, interpreted and how finally at the end oil is found.
