Global climate change has become a topic of major interest, concern and controversy in recent years. Interpretation of climate trends as well as the possible political and economic impact of climate change, continue to be debated. These issues have important implications for the energy supply industries.

The AAPG Global Climate Change Committee has invited four internationally known scientists to provide their own perspectives on climate change from the standpoint of paleoclimatology, recent temperature history, climate modeling and evidence from glaciers and ice fields. Each panelist will make a short, informative technical presentation, with time provided for the audience to ask questions and express their concerns. Where relevant the specialists aim to add an African perspective to the climate change debate.

This event is a component of the Social Responsibility program this year and will be open to the general public as well as to meeting registrants. If you will not attend the conference but wish to attend this forum, register separately at http://register.exgenex.com/aapgcp/gccf.asp .
