Exploring Member Attitudes in 2006

Results of a Quantitative Member Survey

Section 1: Demographics

Understanding the Respondents

In addition to examining the data that resulted from this survey, it also is important to examine the composition of the reporting group in order to better understand and interpret their responses and specific comments. For example age, location, employment category and other factors that, at first glance, may not seem to be directly related to levels of member satisfaction can impact member attitudes toward satisfaction as well as toward specific AAPG products, services and publications. Therefore, it is important to review not only the overall results but to review the specific sources of the results as well. When applicable, selected comparisons of the reporting group and the entire membership also are provided.

In addition, it is important for the AAPG to review the composition and segmentation of its member group to help determine future business decisions.
