Each year at the annual HoD meeting this committee arrives early to prepare for the welcoming and credentials check of fellow delegates.
Usually a quick check of the official list is all that is necessary, however sometimes interesting last-minute changes can require “on the spot” deliberations. About 8am, in the rush to be seated, there can be travel weary geologists who have arrived from a distant time zone and need extra help or simply someone swapping in for a sick delegate. Primarily it is alternates helping to fill out the full count needed for their section or region. So if you happen to be in this group, please bring your documents, patience and a smile.
We on the committee are glad to have all delegates present to do the business of AAPG, but will always carefully follow the rules of the Constitution and Bylaws.
