Jeannie Fisher Mallick

A licensed Texas geologist, Jeannie Fisher Mallick has 28 years experience in geological/geophysical exploration and development. She is a senior explorationist specializing in workstation interpretation and integration of well data, with seismic and production data, to identify new reservoirs in the domestic U.S. and international arenas.
Currently, she works as a prospect generator for Milagro Exploration in Houston, focusing on South Texas. Jeannie received an M.S. and B.S. in geology in 1981 and 1979, respectively, from Michigan State University, and a B.S. in Botany in 1978 from the University of Michigan. She began her career in the oil industry in 1979, with Hunt Energy in Michigan. Moving to Texas in 1980, Jeannie began Gulf Coast exploration for Tenneco Oil Company. She continued her career with other companies, including Texas Gas Exploration, CSX Oil and Gas, Pogo Producing Company, Pohlman and Associates, CAEX Services and Petrohawk Energy.
She joined AAPG as a student member, and upgraded her membership, as soon as possible, to full Active status in 1983. Joining the Houston House of Delegates in 1989, Jeannie became its foreman in 2002-2003, and served on the House Honors and Awards committee from 2000-2006, during the last two years as its chair. She was very proud to have been elected 2006-2007 secretary/editor of the House of Delegates, and currently serves on the AAPG Membership Enhancement committee. Jeannie served the GCAGS as short course chair for the Annual Convention in 2000, and is the nominations and awards chair for 2005-2008. She is a DPA certified petroleum geologist #5871.
Active in the Houston Geological Society, she is currently on the HGS Membership Growth committee, ad hoc, and has served on the HGS Board as treasurer, treasurer elect and secretary. Her other activities include the SIPES organization, where she has served the local Houston Chapter as secretary/editor, Continuing Education chair and Membership chairman. She has also worked on their Active Deal Buyer’s List.
Jeannie is also a member of the AIPG, CPG #7540, the New Orleans Geological Society, the Geophysical Society of Houston, the SEG and the SPWLA.
