Division of Environmental
Geosciences Born!
Meeting
in Calgary on 21 June 1992 under the chairmanship of Will R. Green,
the House of Delegates approved the application for this new technical
division.
Although
there were many participants, the delivery was remarkably smooth
under the supervision of Chief Obstetrician Bruno Hanson. Several
members had worked hard with past President Hanson to bring forward
DEG to join DPA and EMD in the AAPG lineup.
As of
1 December 2001 DEG membership totaled 2,546 which included all
categories of AAPG membership.
