The House officers and committee chairs will be posting on the House Forum more updates and additional information for the House meeting on June 3. Be sure to visit Delegate's Forum often, and discuss the issues with fellow delegates and AAPG members before the meeting.

House Relaxes Membership Requirements

In an historic development opening AAPG to broader member participation, the House made changes in qualifications for committee assignments. Previously, only Active members could be appointed to committees by the President unless specifically authorized by the Executive Committee.

During the 21 June 1992 HoD meeting in Calgary presided over by Chair Will R. Green, the House made the change which still applies so that the President alone may make committee appointments from "Association members of any classification".

As a result, today we have a wider representation of AAPG members serving on many committees.
