The AAPG Web site has evolved into one of the most important services offered to the membership. To list all of the links connected to the Web site would probably encompass the entire Delegates' Voice newsletter. Due to space restraints, only the non-scientific matters on the Web site will be covered in this issue.

Janet Brister, John Wolff, Ron Hart, Larry Nation and many others at AAPG Headquarters have pioneered the AAPG Web site into an extremely useful reference for member services. The Web site is now averaging 16,000 hits per week. Nearly thirteen million total accesses have been registered since the Web site's inception.

Here are some of the "non-science" activities that AAPG members can retrieve from the Web site:

• apply for any membership including: Active, Associate, Student or membership in any of the Divisions
• acquire annual reports of AAPG
• acquire copies of meeting minutes of the Executive Committee and Advisory Council meetings
• submit nominations for officer candidates and honors and award recipients
• preview the Explorer and access current classified advertising
• view past Explorer articles through January 1999
• sign-up and register for annual meetings, Hedberg Conferences and International meetings
• submit abstracts for technical programs
• register for education courses, field seminars or schools
• arrange for Visiting Petroleum Geologist programs or view Distinguished Lecturer itinerary
• apply for Grants-in-Aid
• purchase any book or other AAPG publication through e-commerce
• retrieve forms and other aids for using AAPG Energy Resources Library including GEOREF
• download PowerPoint slides to help build slide resources for members
• access Web site links to all Divisions, Sections and Regions
• access AAPG Position Papers and Congressional Testimonies
• post any AAPG Committee actions, plans, minutes, etc.

Future services to be provided by the Web site include:

• address change forms
• subscription forms for AAPG Bulletin and Explorer
• on-line dues payments
• on-line voting
• on-line learning courses

I encourage our members to visit the Web site and especially to take advantage of the Delegates' Forum. It's a great way to quickly learn what's going on at AAPG twenty-four hours a day from anywhere in the world. In the next issue, we'll cover the scientific material that can be accessed from the Web site.
