Call for
Committee Members
by M. Ray
Thomasson
Under
Pete Gray's leadership, the Committee on Committees is interested
in getting more members involved in Association activities. We would
be very interested in you joining and working on an AAPG committee
of your choice. Click here for the list
of committees and some of the mission statements.
AAPG committees
are the most important way that members can contribute their ideas
and talents to the Association. All members are invited to participate
in one or more committees that deal with matters that interest them.
While it's not possible for every committee to be of unlimited size,
members will find that if they have a strong interest in a particular
area and can contribute to the goals of a related committee, they
will be welcomed with open arms.
However,
committee membership should not be confused with a resume entry;
committee work is real work when done properly. Please approach
it with an open mind and a willing spirit. Undoubtedly, you do have
special talents that could benefit the AAPG. How would you like
to contribute?
Please
look through the committee list and select one or more committees
that you would like to work with and contact me at Thomasson Partner
Associates, Inc., 1410 High Street, Denver, CO 80218; telephone
303-436-1930; or e-mail, .
(Contact via e-mail is preferable.)
Clearly
there is a wide range to choose from. We need your help and Robbie
Gries, current President, and Dan Smith, President-Elect, along
with Pete Gray, the Chairman of the Committee on Committees and
I would like for you to get involved.
Please
let me hear from you.
