Newsletter for the House of Delegates of AAPG

SEPTEMBER, 2001

Resolutions Committee

J. Michael Party, Chair

The Resolutions Committee is comprised of Don Clarke from the Pacific Section, Sharie Sartain from the Gulf Coast Section, and Debby Sycamore from the Rocky Mountain Section. This Committee is responsible for the review of all Applications for Affiliation submitted to the AAPG, and we will do so as they arrive at AAPG headquarters. The Committee will look at ways to help societies that have a Delegate imbalance in the staggering of the Delegates' terms. Some societies elect over half of their Delegates in a given year. The Committee will address this issue and see if a serious problem exists and if it needs to be rectified, make recommendations accordingly. As always, the Committee will be at the disposal of the HOD leadership to review, research, and report on any issue that the leadership deems necessary and appropriate for us to do so.
