expand Corporate Advisory Board

The Corporate Advisory Board of AAPG advises the AAPG leadership on matters of strategy and direction when it comes to AAPG's activities and plans for the future. It is comprised of senior members of industry representing AAPG's membership via major oil companies, independents, service companies, internationally based oil companies and national oil companies. The board meets twice per year, once at the AAPG Annual Conference and once in the fall, usually in Houston. Teleconferences are held as needed.

Our Mission: Datapages’ mission is to provide reasonably priced, and timely access to upstream oil and gas published information and graphical data.

Our Strategy:
  • Convert (legacy) data of the upstream oil & gas industry into digital formats;
  • Provide reasonably priced, timely access through the internet or CD-ROM using GIS, geographic search, and other technology;
  • Extend the fulfillment of AAPG’s mission of advancing the science of petroleum geology

The focus of GEO-DC efforts is threefold:

  1. Advise and educate government officials and science and energy policy organizations.
  2. Communicate to AAPG members timely information on relevant legislative and regulatory actions.
  3. Create opportunities for AAPG members to get involved and deliver their expertise directly in the policy making process.

The mission of the International Pavilion (IP) is connecting representatives of countries with oil and gas resources with professionals from oil and gas companies looking to explore and produce them. By showcasing E&P opportunities, disseminating information, and providing an environment for meaningful discussion and negotiation, the IP helps facilitate the process of identifying and evaluating international exploration opportunities.
