Robert H. Dott, Sr., Memorial Award BACKGROUND
The Robert H. Dott, Sr., Memorial Award (formerly the President’s Award) is to honor and reward the authors of original articles published by the Association. Through 1979, the award was $250 in cash for the best paper published by the Association during each calendar year. Beginning in 1980, the award was expanded to recognize both the best Bulletin article and the best special publication (when appropriate), with the cash award being $250 in each category. In 1982, the cash award was increased to $500 in each category, and the best Bulletin article was changed to the Wallace E. Pratt Memorial Award.
