Richard Banks, Scientific Computer Applications, Inc., Tulsa, OK, received his Engineer of Geophysics degree in 1953 from Colorado School of Mines and an MS in Petroleum Engineering in 1957 from the University of Texas.

Richard Banks, Scientific Computer Applications, Inc., Tulsa, OK, received his Engineer of Geophysics degree in 1953 from Colorado School of Mines and an MS in Petroleum Engineering in 1957 from the University of Texas.

He started his professional experience as a geophysicist for Carter Oil Company in 1953. After a two-year Korean hiatus, he completed his degree in petroleum engineering and worked for Amoco as a petroleum engineer for 12 years before forming Scientific Computer Applications in 1969.

SCAI develops and markets exploration and production software for the energy industry, as well as doing petroleum engineering and geological consulting. SCAI has provided geological and engineering consulting around the world. 

Mr. Banks is a registered professional engineer in OK and TX.
