As you all may be aware, one of the major activities of
the Ad hoc Reserves and Resources Committee of the DPA is to
support JCORET (Joint Committee on Reserves Evaluator Training).
JCORET is sponsored by the AAPG, SPE, SPEE and WPC.
These are the same four societies that sponsored and generated
PRMS (Petroleum reserves Management System).

The members of JCORET from the AAPG/DPA are:
Daniel J. Tearpock, Bill Kazmann and John Coleman. Each
member serves on JCORET for a 3 year rotation. Dan Tearpock
is also the Vice-Chairman of JCORET as well and serves on the
curriculum committee.
The latest news about JCORET is that the committee
now has a website: http://www.JCORET.org/. The website is
hosted by the SPE and is also linked to and from each of the four
societies mentioned above. You can fine the AAPG link at http://
dpa.aapg.org/. JCORET also now has a permanent email address:
[email protected]., as well as a phone number and mailing
address.

Please take a minute to go to the website to review the
information provided regarding training courses available, FAQ's,
to review the authors packet for anyone interested in requesting
JCORET to review, for sponsorship, a technical training course or
seminar or an ethics course or talk.
JCORET needs your assistance. Mr. Bill Kazmann's term will
be over on June 30, 2010. We are looking for a new member to
serve on the JCORET Committee starting July 1, 2010 to June
30, 2013. The committee meets each quarter and has various
short phone conferences throughout the year. We are looking for
someone who is willing to serve on the Curriculum committee to
review submitted courses for approval by JCORET. Most courses
submitted are more in the engineering areas. There are much
fewer courses in the geosciences, at least to date.
If you are interested in serving on the four society committee
please contact me by - Phone or email. Phone: 713.789.2444.
Please give consideration to serving on this very important and
exciting committee. It is truly a one of a kind committee. Thank
you in advance for your consideration.
