Join EMD at ACE in Calgary

AAPG Annual Convention & Exhibition | 19-22 June 2016 | Calgary, Canada

Bob Trevail invites EMD members to join him at ACE 2016.

Dear AAPG Energy Minerals Division Member,

We are just a little under three weeks away from AAPG's 2016 ACE in Calgary, Canada. There is still time to register for the meeting and enjoy a number wide-ranging EMD-related talks - as well as the multidisciplinary, technical Oil Sands and Heavy-Oil Workshop "Furthering the Collaborations and Sharing the Learnings," being jointly hosted by EMD, AAPG's Division of Environmental Geosciences (DEG) and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG). The workshop set for Sunday, June 19, includes several talks and panel discussions covering investment, geology, reservoir engineering, geophysics, environment challenges and risk.

And don't forget that the EMD Luncheon at ACE 2016 is on Wednesday, June 22. We will be presenting service awards to a number of deserving EMD members and presentation awards for the best talks and posters at last year's ACE in Denver. Our featured luncheon speaker is Reg Olson, a former senior adviser of mineral resources with the Alberta Geological Survey, whose talk is titled "Uranium - A Look Back in Canada and Forward to a Possible Worldwide & 'Green' Energy Solution."

Enjoy the summer - and I hope to see many of you in Calgary!

Thank you,

Bob Trevail,
EMD President
