American Geological Institute
Geoscience and Public Policy Student Summer Internship
The American Geological Institute seeks outstanding geoscience students
with a strong interest in federal science policy for a 12 week
internship. Representing the geoscience community in Washington D.C.,
the program actively works with Congress and federal agencies to foster
sound public policy in areas affecting the geosciences. Interns will
gain a first-hand understanding of the legislative process and the
operation of executive branch agencies. They will also hone their
writing and Web publishing skills. Interns are given a stipend through
the generous support of the American Institute of Professional Geologists.
Deadline for the summer internship is March 15. More information and how
to apply is available at: www.agiweb.org/gap/interns/index.html
