The AAPG/EAGE “Hydrocarbon Seals of the Middle East” GTW took place 18-20 January 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Muscat, Oman.
57 industry professionals from 11 countries and 27 companies attended the workshop to network with peers and colleagues and learn about the industry’s geosciences. 20 presentations took place, representing a combination of 13 different companies and academic institutions.

Highlights included an inaugural keynote speech delivered by Intisaar Al Kindy from Petroleum Development Oman, breakout discussion sessions with active participation from the workshop delegates, an informative technical keynote presentation by Janos Urai and Peter Kukla from Aachen University and two exciting field trips.
