Who Should Attend
This e-symposium is ideal for all energy professionals who have an interest in wind farm operations, ranging from small use-specific operations to large contributors to the regional grid. Individuals and companies interested in integrating energy generation from multiple sources (wind, oil and gas, etc.) will find the information very useful for adding revenue sources and increasing efficiency.
Objectives
  • Overview of Wind Farm Operations: Challenges, Key Considerations
    • Large wind farms
    • Small to medium wind farms
    • Integrated solutions (wind energy, geothermal, fossil energy)
  • What are some of the Drivers for growth?
  • What are some of the Challenges to be overcome?
  • Who are some of the Key Market Participants?
  • Review of Portal for Wind Farm Operations
  • Using Virtual Earth with Smart Pins for viewing and managing assets
  • Integrating meteorological information
  • Reporting options for Wind Farm Management
Course Content

Experienced in wind farm operations, or just getting started? Running large operations, or installing small, targeted-use operations? In any of these cases, you’ll benefit from AAPG’s e-symposium, "Wind Farm Operations: Current Practices and Future Trends," to be held June 25, 2 pm CDT / 3 pm EDT (live event), to be followed by a full day of independent study (not a live event). The one-hour live e-symposium can be accessed from any computer anywhere in the world using a high-speed internet connection. After the event is over, you will receive via email information about accessing the asynchronous segment (not live) which consists of your independent study materials, to be accessed and studied at any time. You will be able to email responses to the readings, along with your study question answers for CEU credit (if you sign up for the extended package).

Join our experts, which will include individuals from wind turbine manufacturing and wind farm operations. Included in our speakers are Russ Agrusa, ICONICS renewable energy expert, who will discuss alternative energy/wind power applications, from installation to operations, and Roberta Gamble, Director, Energy and Power Systems North America with Frost and Sullivan. They will also provide information on case studies. Our presenters will discuss many aspects of wind farm operations, and then will answer your questions.

Price Includes: Video, PDF of presentation, additional readings / resources. A link to course materials will be provided upon registration.
